Read this first — the extract-vs-synthetic gap. The human longevity and mortality data come from biological extracts (Epithalamin, Thymalin). What is sold worldwide today are synthetic fragments (Epitalon AEDG, Vilon KE, Prostamax KEDP). No study establishes that the synthetic reproduces the extract's clinical effects — no comparative trial exists for any pair. SYNTHETIC Defined 2–4 amino-acid peptide from solid-phase synthesis. What vendors sell globally. Can: show in-vitro mechanism (mostly from Khavinson's own institute; two independent Western in-vitro papers for Epitalon, 2025). Can't: inherit the extract's human outcome data — zero Western human RCTs.
EXTRACT→SYN Derivation paper: identifies the active fragment inside the extract complex (e.g. Kopylov 2017, AEDG within pineal complex). Can: establish lineage. Can't: establish equivalence — no head-to-head extract-vs-synthetic trial exists for any pair.
